The orphans need everything: clothes, shoes, food, medicine, school fee etc. etc.
What can a child get for € 10 / $ 10? E.g.:
* One year school fee in secondary school
* Food for more than a whole month
* Malaria medicine tablets
* One day AIDS-treating medicine (AZT)
What can you get for $ 10 if you live in a developed
country?
Some few packets of cigarettes?
Some few bottles of wine?
Some few litres of gasoline?
Please think it over. What do $ 10 more or less mean to you? For an orphan child it can mean the difference between life and death.

with the following informations:
* The text on your piece (max. 5 words/80 characters inclusive spaces)
e.g.your name (personal, company, school, class, group etc. Please write "anonymous"
if you do not want your name on your piece)
* Background color of your piece. If nothing menioned it will be white
* Your home page (if you have one) so that we can link to it from your
piece
* The amount of your donation (so that we can check off the account).
Amount of donations will not be published
* Where we can download your logo or please attach it to the mail if you
want your logo instead of text (name or likely).
* Please write if you want a receipt (only donations $ / € <100) -
remember to write your address then.
All informations will be treated as strictly
confidential and not given to anybody outside this project.
If you buy a piece your name, company name or company logo, name of your school or class, your association, sport club etc. - or just "anonymous" - will appear on your piece with a link to your home page (if you want to or do have a home page). A piece has a price of at least $ 10 or € 10 (or corresponding your local currency).
Please make a link from your home page to this e.g. to your piece.

4. Sending checks.
You can send a check directly
to Wind of Hope, but please write it to "Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani"
and NOT to Wind of Hope as Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani is the name with which
the organisation is registred in the bank. (Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani
is kiswahili for Wind of Hope in the Desert). Please send to:

Be aware of the possibility that
checks can dissapear in the mail system. Normally common letters will
arrive but there are some few examples where letters never arrived.
The account is administrated by the Danish Youht Group "Foreningen Slaenget" which supports Wind of Hope in Arid Youth. The account administration is supervised and controlled by deputy school headmaster, Mr. Allan Hejnfelt, Tarup Youth School, Rismarksvej 80, 5200 Odense V, Denmark and the elected accountant, Freddy Eskesen, Denmark.
Why are donations not paid
directly to Wind of Hope in the Arid?
That is because of bank fees. Just to withdraw from own
bank account Wind of Hope has to pay about $ 10 each time = a whole year
of school fee for a child!
Donations are safely transfered to Kenya and Wind of Hope through MS
Danish Association for International Co-operation, Kenya department in
Nairobi where we have no fees.
There are small fees if you donate using PayPal and may be using bank
transfer (depending on your bank conditions).
It is also possible to donate directly (please see "Sending checks" to the left).
Can we trust it?
The Danish youth group Foreningen Slaenget has
donated Wind of Hope several times among other things for shelters for
orphans, school books, a poultry farm and an AIDS-test lab and always got
original receipts. Also the UN organisation UNICEF supports Wind of Hope
in the Arid what it hardly would do if there were suspicious conditions in
Wind of Hope.

Donations are used for actual needs mainly those of kids and young people.
As Wind of Hope in the Arid is a democratic organisation you do not have to fear that the money goes into "the wrong pockets".
By this construction we have no administration fees and 100% of the donations can be used for the purposes.
* Pieces remain at least one year.
* Pieces with contents of pornography,
racism and insult to others (inclusive faith and opinions to others) will
not be tolerated and will not be uploaded. Donations paid for this will
not be refunded.
Some ideas:
* Collect among your class mates. That is only a few ct. to each and your
class gets its own piece.
* Ask your company manager or school head master if the company or
school shouldn´t have its own piece and show a human side e.g. by writing
"[company / school] supports the fight against AIDS in Africa"
and make a link to this home page / your piece.
* Collect among your colleagues in your department and the department gets
its own piece.
* Ask your sport team if it shouldn´t have its own piece
* Etc. etc.
